Awards 2004 HOBI Silver The kitchen has many special touches, reflective of a strong collaboration between the homeowners and the designer. It has all the modern appliances, but custom wood panels, graciously disguise them, to maintain the antique feel of the home. The cabinets were painted with a custom color enamel, which was coordinated with the historically correct colors chosen for adjacent rooms. Counters were made of two complementing granites, and a solid cherry wood top. A light is mounted in the counter and shines up through the end of the island into a crystal vase.
