A small dated kitchen gets opened up to become the center of the home; integrating their sunroom, Family Room, and Kitchen into one warm space perfect for family gatherings.
The Challenge
To take several disjointed rooms and create one large space that feels purposeful, luxerious and modern but still warm, and also functional for their growing family.

Moving the sink to the island rather than having the stove there was both safer for the children and also allowed anyone washing dishes to be more engaged with what's going on around them.
The ceiling was re-framed to introduce a decorative recessed feature accented with beams and elegant brass light fixtures, adding warmth, depth, and architectural interest to the space.
